How do I get to Fauna Lodge?+
You can drive directly to the lodge, take the public boat from Sierpe to Drake Bay, or arrive by domestic flight. If you arrive by boat, we will pick you up at the beach and take you to Fauna Lodge. If you arrive by plane, contact us about transportation from the airport.
Can you help me organize transportation?+
Yes. We can help coordinate your arrival and departure, whether from Drake Bay beach or from the airport. Contact us in advance and we will guide you toward the best option based on your trip.
How far is the lodge from Drake Bay?+
Fauna Lodge is located in Los Planes, approximately 15 minutes by car from the center of Drake Bay. We are surrounded by forest, but you can access the lodge directly by vehicle.
Can you help me coordinate tours?+
Yes. We work together with Top Trails Corcovado and can help you organize tours to Corcovado, Caño Island, and other experiences in the area. We recommend booking in advance.
How far is the nearest beach?+
The nearest beach is Caletas, located about 7 minutes away by car. You can also walk there in approximately 35 minutes along a peaceful trail surrounded by nature.
Is there a nearby trail we can explore on our own?+
Yes, there are several nearby trails you can explore on your own. One option is to walk to San Josecito Beach, which takes approximately 2 hours each way. It is a beautiful trail that combines forest, beaches, and cliffside landscapes. Our team can guide you on the route and trail conditions before you leave.
